Sydney Thunder defeated Sydney Sixers in the Challenger by four wickets at the iconic Sydney Cricket Ground on Friday to book a place for the summit clash. Sam Billings was named the Paler of the Match for his performance.

They invited the Sixers to bat first in the knockout match and posted a decent total of 151/7 after 20 overs. In response, Jason Sangha and David Warner started well but it was Billings who remained unbeaten on 42 to help his team win the match by four wickets.

Hobart Hurricanes were the first team to reach the final after defeating the Sixers in the Qualifier. Now, Tim David, Nikhil Choudhary, Matthew Wade and Ben McDermott will be players to watch out for in the final.

Speaking of Malaysia, they kicked off their campaign with a 2-2 draw against Pakistan. However, in their second game, the hosts, China, proved too strong as Malaysia could only score twice while China found the net four times, winning the match 4-2.
