As per the latest input. IMD has issued an "extreme rainfall warning" for Uttarakhand, Himachal Pradesh, Haryana-Chandigarh-Delhi, West Uttar Pradesh, East Rajasthan and west Madhya Pradesh on Friday.

The met department has issued an orange alert for snow and rainfall at several locations on December 27 and 28 over many parts of the high and adjoining mid-hills of the state. Meanwhile, 157 roads remained blocked in the state owing to the snowfall witnessed on December 23.

The Meteorological Department has issued a forecast for Uttarakhand, according to which there is a possibility of light to moderate rain at many places in the state on 27 and 28 December along with snowfall in high-altitude areas.

In Jammu and Kashmirjilibet, temperatures plunged to -6 degrees Celsius on December 27, 2024. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) forecasts that the region will see minimum and maximum temperatures of 8 degrees Celsius, respectively, in the daytime.
